Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van/reefer) across New Mexico and regional routes
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate logs/electronic records
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and basic preventative maintenance
- Deliver freight on time while maintaining exceptional customer service standards
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning and load optimization
- Utilize GPS technology for navigation and real-time communication
- Participate in quarterly safety training and certification programs
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with HOS regulations and electronic logging devices
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
- Willingness to work flexible schedules including early mornings and weekends
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting knowledge preferred
