Responsibilities
- Operate Class A commercial vehicles safely and efficiently for regional routes
- Complete daily pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle logs
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining on-time performance
- Document all transport activities and submit required paperwork
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Basic knowledge of hazardous materials handling (HAZMAT certification a plus)
- Strong navigation skills and route planning ability
- Excellent time management and communication skills
