Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles in compliance with all FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate daily logs (ELD), mileage records, and delivery paperwork.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding route changes, delays, and delivery instructions.
- Adhere strictly to traffic laws and safety procedures to protect the public and the cargo.
- Keep the vehicle interior and exterior clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record (MVR).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Current DOT medical card and Hazmat endorsement (preferred but not required).
- Strong knowledge of map reading, traffic patterns, and navigation systems.
- Excellent time management and customer service skills.
