Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B) to transport freight across Colorado and neighboring states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Plan efficient routes using GPS technology while meeting delivery deadlines
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Maintain clean driving record and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) rules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (pre-employment and ongoing)
- Strong knowledge of mountain driving techniques and winter weather protocols
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and route planning skills
- Valid TWIC card (if handling hazardous materials)
- Proof of citizenship or legal residency status
