Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A tractor-trailers for regional and dedicated routes
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and comply with DOT regulations
- Inspect vehicles before/during trips to ensure roadworthiness
- Coordinate with dispatch for efficient route planning and timing
- Load/unload freight with proper equipment handling protocols
- Communicate with customers and warehouse personnel professionally
- Document any incidents or maintenance issues immediately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no DUIs in last 5 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient in electronic logging devices (ELD) compliance
- Knowledge of Houston metro area and Texas highway systems
- Strong commitment to safety and on-time delivery
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs occasionally
- Flexibility for overnight trips as needed
