Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A) to transport goods across Florida and southeastern states
- Conduct pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and securement techniques
- Manage delivery schedules and communicate effectively with dispatch
- Complete required paperwork (BOLs, delivery confirmations, mileage logs)
- Represent Sunshine Transport professionally at all customer locations
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Current DOT medical certification
- Ability to pass comprehensive background check and drug screening
- Proficiency in electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Florida roadways and weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
