Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed)
- Perform thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
- Manage delivery schedules and resolve route challenges proactively
- Represent Valley Logistics with professionalism at all client sites
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional experience
- Pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check
- Familiarity with California's Central Valley routes
- Basic mechanical knowledge for minor roadside repairs
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
