Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (dry van, refrigerated, or flatbed) across assigned routes
- Perform pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate DOT compliance logs
- Load/unload freight with proper securing techniques and weight distribution
- Communicate with dispatch regarding route conditions, delays, and delivery status
- Adhere to all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup operations
- Utilize electronic logging devices (ELD) for real-time tracking
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency in using navigation systems and ELD technology
- Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Knowledge of North Carolina and Southeastern US routes
- Strong time management and problem-solving abilities
