Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local/regional routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Deliver freight to commercial/residential destinations on schedule
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques
- Adapt to changing routes and weather conditions in the Gulf Coast region
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Louisiana transportation regulations
- Strong time management and route navigation skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
