Responsibilities
- Operate commercial trucks (Class A or B) in a safe, efficient, and legal manner at all times.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and adhere to Hours of Service (HOS) regulations.
- Deliver freight to designated locations on time and in good condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding schedule changes and delivery details.
- Adhere to all DOT, FMCSA, and company safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on position).
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (MEC) or DOT Medical Card.
- Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or major moving violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Minimum 1-2 years of verifiable driving experience (OTR or Local).
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety regulations, and cargo handling procedures.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and paperwork.
