Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' dry van reefers) in urban and highway environments
- Perform pre-trip inspections, documentation, and route planning for timely deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging compliance (ELD)
- Coordinate with dispatch team for real-time route adjustments and customer communications
- Ensure cargo security and proper handling of temperature-sensitive materials
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and Washington DC traffic ordinances
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable OTR or regional experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Proficient in using ELD systems and GPS navigation
- Knowledge of Washington DC metro traffic patterns and delivery restrictions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Excellent time management and customer service skills
