Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across designated routes
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate electronic logs
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations, HOS guidelines, and company safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo using appropriate equipment and secure per DOT standards
- Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication and timely deliveries
- Report maintenance issues and coordinate with fleet management for timely repairs
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and on-time arrivals
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL with minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Strong knowledge of FMCSA regulations and hazmat handling (if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices and fleet management systems
- Flexibility for regional routes with occasional overnight stays
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
