Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for regional routes within North Carolina
- Adhere to DOT regulations and maintain meticulous electronic logbooks
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip and report maintenance needs promptly
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment
- Deliver time-sensitive materials to commercial and residential locations
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Maintain clean driving record and complete required training modules
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass pre-employment drug screening and background check
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety protocols
- Excellent time management and route navigation skills
- Flexible schedule availability including nights/weekends as needed
- Must reside within 50 miles of Charlotte, NC
