Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles for local and regional routes in the Baltimore metropolitan area
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and company delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance documentation
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques and equipment operation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, clients, and warehouse personnel
- Utilize GPS technology for efficient route planning and real-time navigation
- Complete electronic logging systems (ELD) and required paperwork accurately
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with Baltimore area roads and transportation infrastructure
- Strong attention to safety and compliance with all regulations
- Basic mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Excellent time management and communication skills
- Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends
