Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) for local/regional deliveries in Austin and surrounding areas
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic records (ELD compliance)
- Perform pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic preventive maintenance
- Load/unload freight using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Collaborate with dispatch team for efficient route planning
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Knowledge of Austin metro area and Texas highways
- Basic mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Strong work ethic and punctuality record
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Twic card preferred (not required)
