Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across the Southeast
- Conduct thorough pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logbooks
- Optimize routes for on-time delivery while prioritizing safety protocols
- Load/unload cargo with proper securing techniques using modern equipment
- Adhere strictly to FMCSA regulations and company safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding delivery status
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
- Represent Express Logistics with professionalism in customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and random drug screenings
- Proficient in electronic logging device (ELD) systems
- Strong knowledge of Georgia and Southeastern route networks
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
