Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles (trucks/tractors) for regional routes
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols at all times
- Complete daily pre/post-trip inspections and accurate logging
- Load/unload freight with proper handling techniques
- Maintain clean driving record and compliance with all FMCSA standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients
- Utilize electronic logging systems and GPS technology
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record (no major violations in 3 years)
- Minimum 1 year OTR or regional driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Strong understanding of HAZMAT regulations (Hazmat certification a plus)
- Excellent time management and route optimization skills
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overnight trips
