Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) to deliver goods to customers in a timely manner.
- Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using proper equipment and techniques to prevent damage.
- Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and all required shipping documentation.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or Class B license (depending on role).
- Current DOT Medical Card and DOT Drug Screening clearance.
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of New York and regional roadways.
- Basic mechanical skills for minor vehicle troubleshooting.
