Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (CMVs) in accordance with federal and state regulations and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance before and after each shift.
- Load and unload cargo using proper lifting techniques and securing devices to prevent damage or injury.
- Maintain accurate and timely delivery logs, including electronic logging device (ELD) documentation and delivery receipts.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and maintain a clean driving record throughout employment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical) and Drug Screen on file.
- Ability to pass a background check and motor vehicle record (MVR) review.
- Strong knowledge of local, regional, and intercity routes in Texas and surrounding areas.
- Basic computer literacy for logging and electronic documentation.
