Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL required) across designated routes
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate trip documentation
- Deliver freight efficiently while maintaining optimal delivery schedules
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
- Utilize electronic logging systems (ELD) for compliance and route optimization
- Represent Swift Transportation with professionalism in all customer interactions
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate in various weather conditions
- Strong knowledge of Texas roadways and regulations
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Commitment to safety and customer service excellence
- Ability to pass background check and MVR review
