Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to transport goods across New York and surrounding areas
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and local traffic laws
- Plan efficient routes while meeting tight delivery schedules
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and maintenance reports
- Manage proper loading/unloading of cargo with forklift operation when required
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and clients regarding shipment status
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and parking regulations
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varying weather conditions
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of hazmat protocols (certification preferred)
