Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (box trucks or tractor-trailers) for local/regional deliveries
- Plan and optimize daily delivery routes using GPS navigation systems
- Verify shipment documentation and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo with proper equipment and safety protocols
- Conduct pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance needs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations and company safety standards
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and operate loading equipment
- Pass background check and drug screening (required)
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD)
- Strong knowledge of Virginia/Washington D.C. road networks
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional overtime
