Responsibilities
- Operate commercial delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to designated routes in Georgia and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting findings accurately in electronic logs (EOBR).
- Load and unload freight securely, ensuring cargo integrity and proper weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including bills of lading and delivery receipts.
- Adhere strictly to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delays or route changes.
- Keep the vehicle clean, organized, and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with the appropriate endorsements.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of professional driving experience preferred.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Clear Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no preventable accidents within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging and reporting.
