Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) to deliver freight on time
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate delivery logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Navigate efficiently using GPS systems and route optimization
- Report vehicle maintenance issues promptly to fleet manager
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable truck driving experience
- Clean MVR with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and climb loading docks
- Strong communication and time-management skills
- Pass federal background check and drug screening
- Knowledge of Detroit metro area road networks
- DOT medical certification current
