Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight across North Carolina routes
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Load/unload cargo securely using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Ensure timely deliveries while adhering to DOT regulations and company policies
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Submit electronic delivery documentation and mileage reports
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong navigation skills and familiarity with North Carolina geography
- Pass background check and drug screening
- Flexibility for early morning starts and occasional weekend shifts
- Basic computer skills for electronic logging systems
