Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53ft dry van) to deliver freight on time
- Plan efficient routes using GPS navigation and company software
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate logs
- Load/unload shipments with pallet jacks and forklifts
- Provide exceptional customer service at delivery points
- Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety protocols
- Communicate delivery status and delays to dispatch team
Qualifications
- Valid Class A CDL license with clean driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Willingness to travel to Illinois routes (2-3 days/week)
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening
- Proficient with electronic logging devices
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Flexible availability including weekends as needed
