Responsibilities
- Operate commercial Class A or B trucks safely and efficiently to deliver freight to designated locations throughout the San Antonio metro area and surrounding regions.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations and vehicle safety standards.
- Verify cargo contents and condition upon pickup and delivery, maintaining accurate delivery logs and paperwork.
- Practice defensive driving techniques and adhere to all traffic laws, speed limits, and company policies to ensure 100% safety compliance.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, including fueling and routine maintenance checks as required.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with clients, including loading and unloading cargo professionally.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes, delays, or any operational issues that may arise.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required. Class B may be considered for specific local routes.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) and current DOT drug screen.
- Achieved and maintained a clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no serious moving violations in the past 3 years.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of DOT Hours of Service (HOS) regulations and logbook compliance.
- Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 50 lbs repeatedly throughout the shift.
- Must be available to work weekends (Saturday and Sunday) and occasional holidays.
