Responsibilities
- Safely transport packages and perishables across Raleigh metro area using company-provided vehicles
- Maintain 99% on-time delivery rate through optimized route planning
- Perform pre/post-trip vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks
- Utilize digital dispatch systems for real-time order updates
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Document delivery exceptions and customer feedback via mobile app
- Collaborate with warehouse team for efficient loading/unloading
Qualifications
- Valid NC driver's license with clean 3-year driving record
- Minimum 1 year commercial driving experience
- Ability to lift 50+ packages daily and stand for extended periods
- Proficient with smartphone navigation and delivery apps
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Availability to work flexible shifts including weekends
- Basic knowledge of Raleigh street grid system preferred
