The Role
As a Weekend Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and timely transportation of freight to our valued clients. We operate a modern fleet and prioritize driver comfort and efficiency. If you have a passion for logistics and excellent driving skills, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (tractors and box trucks) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure mechanical safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently, ensuring proper securement and handling of pallets.
- Manage delivery documentation, including bills of lading and proof of delivery signatures.
- Provide exceptional customer service during drop-offs and pickups.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch regarding route changes and delivery delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with required endorsements (Hazmat/Tanker if applicable).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- A clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to meet strict deadlines.
- Basic knowledge of cargo securement and safety regulations.
