Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver goods on schedule throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation while adhering to DOT regulations
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure operational safety
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions and resolve inquiries professionally
- Collaborate with dispatch team to optimize routes and maintain efficient delivery timelines
- Secure and protect cargo during transit to prevent damage or loss
Qualifications
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years commercial driving experience in urban environments
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate loading equipment
- Strong knowledge of Philadelphia streets and surrounding areas
- Proficiency in using GPS navigation and delivery tracking systems
- Flexibility to work weekends (Saturday/Sunday) with occasional weekday coverage
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
