Job Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) on various routes within New York and surrounding regions.
- Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks and forklifts as needed, ensuring proper securement and weight distribution.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and electronic logging devices (ELD) in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients at delivery locations.
- Keep the truck clean and organized, reporting any mechanical issues immediately.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B (depending on vehicle type) with a clean driving record.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Medical Card).
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Ability to lift and handle packages weighing up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
- Must be willing to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Availability for overtime and flexible scheduling when required.
