Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles in accordance with FMCSA regulations and company policies.
- Deliver freight to designated customer locations in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any mechanical issues immediately.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate logs (DOT logs) and electronic logging device (ELD) compliance.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any delays.
- Keep the cab and trailer clean and organized at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT physical).
- Clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Ability to pass a drug screen and background check.
- Strong customer service skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in local or regional delivery driving is preferred but not always required.
