Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A & B) in a timely and efficient manner.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and securing cargo.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, safety protocols, and traffic laws while navigating various routes.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any mechanical issues or damages immediately.
- Maintain a clean and professional appearance, as well as a clean driving record.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no more than 2 moving violations in the last 3 years.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical and drug screening.
- Strong knowledge of traffic laws, road safety, and vehicle maintenance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
