Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A CDL) to transport freight across Georgia and surrounding states
- Adhere strictly to DOT regulations, safety protocols, and delivery schedules
- Conduct pre-trip/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery confirmations and issue resolution
- Utilize GPS navigation systems to optimize routes and ensure on-time deliveries
- Collaborate with dispatch team to provide real-time shipment updates and traffic insights
- Maintain clean driving record and participate in mandatory safety training
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Passing DOT physical examination and drug screening
- Proficiency with electronic logging devices (ELD) and route planning software
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment safely
- Strong knowledge of Georgia roadways and interstate systems
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
