Responsibilities
- Operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport freight safely to local and regional destinations.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manual labor, ensuring items are secure and undamaged.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and daily logs.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT Physical card (Medical Examiner’s Certificate) valid for at least 90 days.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable driving experience.
- Clean driving record with no DUI, reckless driving, or hit-and-run violations.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and perform physical tasks associated with loading.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
