Job Overview:
As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to our customers. You will ensure cargo is loaded and unloaded correctly while maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or Class B) to deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment (lift gates, pallet jacks) without damaging goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs, bills of lading, and mileage records.
- Adhere to all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies.
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading and delivery interactions.
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance checks, such as checking fluid levels and tire pressure.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
- Minimum of 2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Strong knowledge of road safety, traffic laws, and local geography.
- Excellent time management and communication skills.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime when necessary.
- Ability to lift and move heavy objects up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
