Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) in accordance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety and compliance.
- Load and unload cargo safely, ensuring proper securing and handling of goods.
- Deliver products to customers in the Washington DC and Northern Virginia areas in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a clean and organized cab, including keeping the interior and exterior of the vehicle tidy.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and safety protocols at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver’s License: Must possess a valid driver's license (Class C) with a clean driving record.
- CDL Eligibility: Must be willing and able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (Class A or B) within 90 days of hire. (CDL provided for current holders).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, sit for extended periods, and perform manual dexterity tasks. Must pass a DOT physical examination.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old to operate commercial vehicles across state lines.
- Background Check: Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required by federal regulations.
- Availability: Must be available to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
