Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (53' trailers) to deliver freight across Florida and neighboring states
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Coordinate with dispatch teams for real-time route adjustments and delivery confirmations
- Load/unload shipments using pallet jacks and forklifts (training provided)
- Adhere to DOT regulations and FMCSA compliance standards
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery interactions
- Utilize GPS tracking systems for efficient navigation and ETAs
- Document delivery exceptions and damage reports promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required
- No prior commercial driving experience necessary
- Pass DOT physical and drug screening (provided)
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly
- Basic smartphone proficiency for digital logging
- Clean driving record (no major violations in past 3 years)
- Ability to work flexible schedules including nights/weekends
- Strong communication and time-management skills
