Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery vehicles (Class A or B) during assigned night shifts.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Load and unload cargo with a focus on efficiency and cargo protection.
- Verify delivery documentation, including manifests and proof of delivery (POD) forms.
- Maintain accurate logs and adhere to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
- Ensure the vehicle interior and exterior are kept clean and presentable at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current and valid DOT Medical Card.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of commercial driving experience preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to traffic laws.
- Flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Basic computer literacy for electronic logging devices (ELD).
