Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles to deliver freight on overnight routes
- Perform pre-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Load/unload cargo using proper equipment and safety protocols
- Manage delivery documentation and electronic tracking systems
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status
- Adhere to all DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Resolve delivery exceptions and customer inquiries professionally
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Clean driving record with no major violations in past 3 years
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly during shifts
- Strong knowledge of Raleigh area roadways and traffic patterns
- Ability to work independently during overnight hours (11 PM - 7 AM)
- Basic computer literacy for using delivery tracking systems
- Pass background check and drug screening
