Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A/B CDL) for local and regional deliveries
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation using fleet management systems
- Inspect vehicles before/after shifts to ensure compliance with safety regulations
- Provide exceptional customer service during loading/unloading operations
- Coordinate with dispatch team for efficient route optimization and on-time deliveries
- Handle hazardous materials shipments when required (with proper certification)
- Perform minor vehicle maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years of professional driving experience
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and operate loading equipment
- Familiarity with NYC traffic patterns and delivery regulations
- Pass background check and DOT physical examination
- Basic proficiency with GPS navigation and delivery tracking apps
- Strong time management and communication skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
