Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial vehicles (Class A or B) to transport goods to designated locations within Milwaukee and surrounding areas.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safety compliance and report any maintenance issues.
- Load and unload cargo carefully, ensuring all items are properly secured and accounted for.
- Interact professionally with customers, resolve delivery issues on-site, and maintain a positive brand image.
- Maintain accurate records of delivery times, mileage, and delivery logs (DVIR).
- Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, company policies, and safety regulations.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) Class A or B required (must meet state medical card requirements).
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major traffic violations in the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- Physically capable of lifting heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and standing for extended periods.
- Strong navigation skills and ability to plan efficient routes.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
