Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Transport freight to designated delivery locations in and around Mesa, AZ, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the commercial vehicle is in safe operating condition.
- Load & Unload: Safely load and unload cargo using forklifts or pallet jacks, adhering to weight limits and safety protocols.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs, delivery receipts, and electronic logging device (ELD) records in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Customer Service: Interact professionally with clients and customers, resolving any delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must hold a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License with the proper endorsements.
- Driving Record: Clean MVR (Motor Vehicle Record) with no major violations in the past 3-5 years.
- Physical Fitness: Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
- Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of experience in commercial driving or logistics preferred.
- Documentation: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Communication: Strong verbal communication skills and basic computer literacy.
- Availability: Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, and holidays as required.
