Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial motor vehicles (Class A or B CDL) in a professional and timely manner.
- Deliver freight to designated customer locations ensuring on-time arrival and product integrity.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain accurate logbooks and delivery paperwork in compliance with DOT regulations.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo using proper lifting techniques and equipment.
- Interact professionally with customers and resolve delivery issues with a positive attitude.
- Adhere strictly to all safety protocols, traffic laws, and company policies.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or B required.
- Must possess a clean driving record with no major violations within the last 3-5 years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical exam and drug screening.
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to customer service excellence.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and bills of lading.
- Physical ability to lift and handle heavy cargo items (up to 50 lbs) repeatedly.
- Must be at least 21 years of age and have a valid US work authorization.
