Responsibilities
- Safely Operate Vehicles: Drive commercial delivery trucks (Class A or B) on time and in a safe manner.
- Load & Unload: Efficiently load and unload cargo using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and forklifts.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate logs (ELD) and adhere strictly to all Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Customer Service: Deliver freight with a professional attitude, ensuring customer satisfaction at every stop.
- Route Planning: Follow designated routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Qualifications
- Valid CDL: Must possess a valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License.
- Medical Certificate: Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) is mandatory.
- Clean Record: Ability to pass a background check and drug screen.
- Driving Skills: Strong understanding of traffic laws, safety protocols, and defensive driving techniques.
- Age Requirement: Must be at least 21 years old for interstate driving.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and handle physical demands of the job.
