Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks and vans in a professional and timely manner.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using hand trucks, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Deliver products to customers in a friendly and professional manner, ensuring proper handling of goods.
- Maintain accurate delivery logs and documentation, including electronic logging devices (ELD).
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery status and any issues.
Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A or Class B required.
- Clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years.
- Ability to pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical examination.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods.
- Basic computer skills for logging and paperwork.
