Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial delivery trucks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods to customers.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections (DVIR) to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment, ensuring secure transport.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and all necessary delivery paperwork.
- Provide exceptional customer service during delivery and pickup interactions.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, company safety policies, and traffic regulations at all times.
- Report any vehicle maintenance issues or safety hazards immediately to management.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Card and DOT physical must be up to date.
- Minimum of 1-2 years of verifiable commercial driving experience preferred.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations in the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, including nights and weekends if required.
