Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A/B commercial vehicles to deliver freight on strict timelines
- Conduct pre/post-trip inspections and maintain accurate vehicle maintenance logs
- Verify delivery documentation and obtain customer signatures for proof of delivery
- Optimize routes to maximize efficiency while adhering to DOT regulations
- Communicate proactively with dispatch team regarding delivery status and delays
- Handle hazardous materials shipments with appropriate safety protocols when required
- Maintain professional appearance and conduct while interacting with clients
Qualifications
- Valid Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable commercial driving experience
- Ability to pass DOT physical and drug screening requirements
- Familiarity with North Carolina roadways and delivery zones
- Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy
- Excellent time management and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various weather conditions
