Responsibilities
- Safely operate commercial Class A vehicles to deliver freight to designated locations on time and within the scheduled window.
- Perform thorough pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
- Load and unload cargo securely, verifying inventory and maintaining accurate delivery documentation.
- Maintain accurate records using electronic logging devices (ELD) and comply with Hours of Service (HOS) rules.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating professionally with clients and resolving any delivery issues efficiently.
- Keep the truck clean, organized, and well-maintained to ensure a professional image.
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures at all times.
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
- Current Medical Examiner's Certificate (DOT Physical) must be up to date.
- Minimum of 1 year of verifiable driving experience in a commercial setting.
- Clean driving record (MVR) with no major violations (DUI, reckless driving) within the last 3 years.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
- Strong time management skills and the ability to work independently.
