Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class A commercial vehicles to transport freight across Georgia and surrounding states
- Adhere to strict DOT regulations and maintain accurate electronic logs (ELD)
- Inspect vehicles pre/post-trip to ensure compliance with safety standards
- Coordinate with dispatch and customers to resolve delivery issues proactively
- Manage time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining optimal efficiency
- Complete proper paperwork for freight documentation and mileage tracking
- Represent the company professionally in customer interactions and at loading facilities
Qualifications
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with clean driving record
- Minimum 2 years verifiable tractor-trailer experience
- Pass DOT physical and pre-employment drug screening
- Familiarity with Atlanta metro area and Southeastern US routes
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate loading equipment
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and customer service abilities
- Willingness to work flexible hours including early mornings and weekends
